Registration for our certificate programs will open June 2025
The Unclaimed Property Certificate Program offered by UPPO is the first of its kind for the profession. It creates knowledge standards for the profession, and will create effective and confident unclaimed property professionals.
The test out exam covers fundamentals of unclaimed property.
The intermediate tier builds on the basic tier's fundamentals, taking a deeper look at unclaimed property in 10 sessions. Explore the intermediate tier curriculum.
Education delivery Education is delivered in a variety of ways, including: on-demand webinars, recorded live webinars and sessions at the Annual Conference.
Program dates
The program runs from August to April. Registration for the 2024/25 certificate program opened in June of 2024.
Who can participate?
The program is eligible to all UPPO members in good standing. If you aren't a member, join today!
There is no minimum or maximum experience level for the basic program. Successful completion of the basic program or passing the test-out exam is required to participate in the intermediate program.
Program cost
Basic and Intermediate Tiers: $495 Included: On-demand and live webinar registrations, tests, certificate Not included: Annual Conference registration or expenses.
Basic Test Out Exam: $175 Included: One exam attempt
If the exam is failed, the exam can be retaken after registering for it again, or 50% of the exam fee can be applied to the cost of the basic certificate program.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation with a full refund for the basic and intermediate program is available until August 1. Refunds are not provided for test-out exam registrants.
