UPPO is the only national non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to educating and promoting the exchange of information among holders of unclaimed property.
Membership in UPPO is open to holders from all industries, as well as agents acting on behalf of legal entities to report unclaimed property. Member companies represent a wide range of industries including Banking, Communications, Computer, Education, Entertainment, Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, Mutual Funds, Oil & Gas, Publishing, Retail, Software Services, Transfer Agents, and Utilities, to name but a few.
UPPO member representatives are overwhelmingly the key policy-makers within their organizations, charged specifically with managing corporate unclaimed property requirements. Put simply, UPPO's track record of harnessing and disseminating the continuously evolving knowledge and experience of seasoned compliance professionals across all industries makes the UPPO an invaluable resource for anyone and everyone with any interest in unclaimed property initiatives. In order to promote honest and open communication about legal issues, the Board of Directors carefully screens all applicants and reserves the right to deny membership to non-qualified entities.
